Post-Vacation Traumatic Boredom Disorder
Look back on those last few years I spent in Congress, I am most drawn to the incapacity (or unwillingness) of my colleagues to hold hands. All the hours we'd spent in committee meetings, arguing on the floor and huddled in small groups after the illuminations of governing had dimmed, and none of it felt through the intimacy of cordial embrace or the comfort of fingers clasped together.
